| Mon 2 May 2005, 21:25 GMT | Bjorn | Like most of you know we've had some problems with a hacker in DSB lately, mostly Danger. Due to this I decided to go through all the logs I had from the matches that Danger have been involved in the last few weeks including game 3 of the semifinals. What that showed was quite disturbing.
The server log files showed that during game 3 two Danger players were being subjected to an attack. Somehow a person got a hold of their passwords and was using them to cause those 2 players to disconnect. This was done frequently and the both players was dc'd a total of 25 times.
It is obvious to me that this probably changed the outcome of the match.
In light of this new evidence Danger appealed game 4 on the grounds that it shouldnt have been played to begin with. I am inclined to agree that Danger without these malicious dc's would have taken the game.
The idea of this league being decided by some hacker is just not acceptable and this means we will be having a game 5.
I hope this discourages any further attacks on players in DSB or the zone itself and trust me if the hacker thinks he is helping RH he is horribly misstaken.
On a last note I encourage all players in DSB and especially those still in league to regularly change their passwords and keep them safe.
